Yard Waste Disposal
Providing the area with professional, fast and eco-friendly junk removal services.
The front and back yard are extensions of your living space. They are a reflection of homeownership. However, having the time and energy to care for them properly is always a difficult juggle. When you’re not at work, you want to relax and enjoy the outdoor space, not spend hours cleaning it up.
Mowing the lawn, planting and weeding gardens, and pruning trees and shrubs are a way to relax for some. But for others, it just creates more work. All the clippings and debris have to be taken away. The green organic waste bins may hold some of it, depending on the size of your yard and gardens, but what do you do with the rest?
Spring and fall often generate greater amounts of yard waste than the green bin will hold. Some communities have leaf and branch removal once a year. But what do you do with it the rest of the time? Or what happens if you miss the once a year opportunity? Lucky for you, we’re just a call away! Not only will we haul away your yard waste, but we’ll also clean it up, so all you have to do is sit back and enjoy your patch of paradise.
What to Do With Yard Waste
Yard waste isn’t just grass clippings weeds, leaves, and fallen branches. It’s anything in your green space that makes you see red. The pile of compost from years gone by or that heap of rubbish that used to be a shed is junk you don’t want in your view. We’ll supply the truck and workforce and take it away.
That old hot tub or BBQ taking up valuable patio space is also yard waste, as are old tires and other trash that interferes with your outdoor enjoyment. Old lumber, sod, stumps, rotting firewood, fencing, even building materials that have been stored in your yard can be taken away. We’ll even take those pesky garden gnomes off your hands, but only if they are yours!
If you have a truck, you can do it all yourself in your spare time, or you can contact our friendly service reps. Schedule a yard waste pick up by our pros! We’ll dispose of it in an eco-friendly manner too. Compostable material, recyclables, and hazardous waste goes where it should.
How to Get Rid of Yard Waste
Compostable yard waste like leaves, weeds, grass clippings, and small brush clippings can go in the green composting bins. However, if there isn’t room, you’ll have to take them to a waste transfer site so they can be taken to a compost site. Alternatively, you can store them until a scheduled community compost pick up day occurs.
Tree branches and other yard waste that doesn’t go in the compost bins is another issue. Branches can be bundled, and some communities have a bi-yearly stick pick up. You could apply for a residential burn permit for all that debris, but that’s not the best or safest solution. Other non-burnable trash would still need to be removed.
The easiest way to get rid of yard waste is to let our dependable team take them away. All you need to do is call and schedule a yard waste disposal for a time that works best for you. We’ll do the rest!
Where Can I Take Yard Waste to Dump?
Many communities have composting sites set up for compostable yard waste. Even though the yard waste may be compostable, it still has to be disposed at a licensed site. Some larger cities have transfer sites where the trash can be sorted and hauled to the appropriate handler. If you have a truck or trailer or can borrow one, this is a great plan. Unfortunately, many of these sites are seasonal and close for the winter.
If you don’t have a truck or trailer, don’t worry! We do! Give us a call, and we’ll haul it away! Don’t store it and wait for that once a year compost date to arrive. Our team will make getting rid of yard waste easy, and when you want!
Can Yard Waste Be Recycled?
Yard waste recycling can be time-consuming, but most can be kept out of landfill sites. Compostable yard waste can be taken and turned into new soil. Branches and wood are often chipped and turned into mulch, or used for biofuel. Metal roofing, cans, fencing, and glass, even old lawn furniture can be taken and properly recycled.
Tires can be recycled too. They get shredded and turned into new materials, including rubber asphalt in playgrounds. Old batteries and old paint cans are hazardous waste, but can still be recycled at a hazardous waste site. Old lawn mowers and garden tools can be recycled too. However, if they still work, they could be sold or donated instead.
No job is too big or too small; we’ll do it all! For yard waste removal made easy, just give us a call!
