Providing the area with professional, fast and eco-friendly junk removal services.
Carpets are manufactured from synthetic and natural fibers, and under padding can be separate or attached. Disposal can be difficult depending on the type of carpet, and its size. Carpets that have tacking strips often have been stretched, and their edges are damaged. Carpets that have been glued down usually need to be cut to remove.
If you have carpet that is ready for disposal, we’ll haul away any carpet that is no longer attached. If you need us to rip it out, set that up when scheduling the appointment.
What to Do With Old Carpet
Unwanted carpets can be bulky items and don’t fit into bins or pails for curbside pickup. If it’s an area carpet that is in good condition, it could be sold or given away. Some charities may accept them for donation too.
Carpets that have been stretched may need to be cut and bound due to edge damage, but if it is large and in good condition, some buyers may be interested. Carpets that are damaged or get damaged during removal may be recyclable or, unfortunately, end up in a landfill. Rugs that have been flooded or torn during removal may be junk.
For carpet pick up, our experienced drivers and assistants will cart it out of your home or business, and take it for the most eco-friendly disposal.
How to Get Rid of Old Carpet
Area carpets, runners, and wall-to-wall can be sold or given away if they are in good condition. Many people are looking for inexpensive or free rugs for a variety of uses. Check with family and friends, or post it online or with a community board. It may help defray the cost of something new.
Getting rid of carpets that are junk may be difficult. Curbside and dumpster may not accept them, so you have to take them for disposal. If that doesn’t fit your plan, call on us to clean out that carpet.
Where Can I Take An Old Carpet to Dump?
Some landfill sites will accept carpet disposal; others won’t. It’s always good to call before you cart it out there. Natural fiber carpets will breakdown over time. Carpets made of synthetic fibers, or that have foam backing made of urethane or polyester won’t break down. Unfortunately, they’ll leach toxins into the ground over time.
Our team will take handle your carpet removal and take it for carpet disposal. If it can go to be recycled, we’ll get it there. If it that’s not an option, we’ll do our best to dispose of it in an eco-friendly way.
Can Old Carpet Be Recycled?
Old synthetic carpets can be recycled and turned into new parts. The fibers can be melted down and spun or molded into new rugs, plastic parts for planes, trains, or Barbie dolls. Natural fiber carpets are made of wool, cotton, bamboo or other plant fibers and can be shredded and used for fertilizers, or even bio-fuel.
Unwanted carpets can be taken directly to be recycled or to waste diversion sites for transfer. Should you not have the time or access to an automobile to transport it, our team will do the carpet recycling for you; just say the word.

I worked with Royal Junk a few days ago to remove a considerable amount of scrap metal from our apartment in San Francisco. They were punctual; the charges were reasonable; they finished the work speedily and were very gracious along the way.
Very efficient service, value for money and professional staff. I’d give royal junk a 5/5 for their work with my office junk.
Swift, professional and courteous…Arrived before time and did a neat job of junk removal from my attic. Would recommend to all.
Great services for the price. Staff is patient and always wear a smile on their face. No regrets with royal junk and will engage them again should we have a junk removal requirement.
Royal-junk did a neat job of trash removal in my backyard. Our renovation left us with a lot of rubbish including old metal furniture, an ancient fountain and many damaged pots. What helped was the willingness of your team to accommodate my packed schedule and turn up at an otherwise odd hour. Pat on the back to Y'all!
The team is very ethical. I recalled a certain item I discarded which they brought back within a few hours with absolutely no fuss! Aside from their punctuality and reasonable pricing, this prompt gesture certainly won them some brownie points. I’d recommend them to all who are looking for a junk-removal services team.
I accidentally booked your junk removal service for the same day next month and realized only an hour before I was expecting your team. Thanks to the polite customer executive for accommodating me on such short notice. No complaints on service and price. All good!
Your team did a great job with the electronics dump my daughter left behind when she moved out. Thanks for the prompt same day turnaround!
Friendly staff, decent pricing, and prompt response. You guys have my recommendation for a job well done!
